He rescues all beings, transforming great-thousand world systems.
有hữu 緣duyên 無vô 緣duyên 同đồng 攝nhiếp 受thọ
Gathering in those with and without prior affinities,
離ly 苦khổ 得đắc 樂lạc 返phản 本bổn 源nguyên
He helps them to end suffering, find joy, and return to the source.

Holding a bowl, Contemplating Sounds saves us mortals.
應ứng 病bệnh 與dữ 藥dược 潤nhuận 三tam 千thiên
Prescribing medicine to cure our ills, he nurtures the three thousand worlds.
拜bái 禮lễ 虔kiền 誠thành 護hộ 感cảm 召triệu
Bowing in homage, we earnestly entreat him to answer our calls.
一nhất 切thiết 所sở 求cầu 滿mãn 心tâm 願nguyện
In various ways he fulfills all our heart's desires.

The wonderful functions of the lariat reach beyond words and thought.

Holding this, Bodhisattvas rescue those in confusion.
誦tụng 咒chú 作tác 觀quán 三tam 摩ma 地địa
Chanting this mantra while contemplating brings Samadhi.
即tức 身thân 成thành 佛Phật 未vị 足túc 奇kỳ
To reach Buddhahood in this life is not impossible.

Enlightening sentient beings plants causes for sagehood.

When we reach the unconditioned Way, we tally with the true mind.

As we benefit others and ourselves, our merit becomes perfected.
同đồng 入nhập 般bát 若nhã 解giải 脫thoát 門môn
Thus, together we enter the prajna doors to liberation.

The Great Knight Horse Whinny transforms the Saha World.

Relieving suffering, bestowing bliss, he cures our illness.
起khởi 死tử 回hồi 生sanh 施thí 甘cam 露lộ
The dead come back to life when he gives them his sweet dew.

The Vajra Hand is too hot for vampires and demons to handle.

Beginningless, endless, neither ancient nor modern.
虛hư 空không 法pháp 界giới 一nhất 口khẩu 吞thôn
Swallow the void and the Dharma Realm in a single gulp.
自tự 性tánh 寂tịch 然nhiên 非phi 內nội 外ngoại
Our own tranquil nature is not inside or outside.
如như 是thị 如như 是thị 如như 是thị 因nhân
So it is! So it is! The causes are just like this.

The Four Kings who protect our world patrol night and day.
賞thưởng 善thiện 罰phạt 惡ác 眾chúng 魔ma 降hàng
Rewarding good and punishing evil, they tame all demons.
菩bồ 薩tát 化hóa 現hiện 伏phục 群quần 怪quái
Bodhisattvas appear by transformation to quell hordes of monsters.
龍long 盤bàn 虎hổ 臥ngọa 禮lễ 法pháp 皇hoàng
Dragons coil and tigers crouch before the Dharma Lord.
數số 怛đát 那na 怛đát 寫tỏa

The heavenly generals and troops exhibit matchless courage
天thiên 魔ma 落lạc 膽đảm 不bất 足túc 奇kỳ
That regularly turns the celestial demons into trembling cowards.
改cải 過quá 遷thiên 善thiện 貧bần 者giả 富phú
By changing faults and becoming good, the poor can get rich.
得đắc 生sanh 極cực 樂lạc 眾chúng 苦khổ 離ly
Attaining rebirth in Ultimate Bliss, we separate from suffering.
Those who practice are free of disasters and attain Bodhi.

Nishyanda Buddha, the fine and perfect reward body,
護hộ 持trì 行hành 人nhân 自tự 在tại 多đa
Protects and supports those who practice with the greatest mastery and ease.
十thập 方phương 世thế 界giới 聞văn 聲thanh 度độ
Hearing their sounds, he saves beings of worlds in ten directions,
離ly 垢cấu 出xuất 塵trần 法pháp 摩ma 訶ha
So they leave mundane defilements-such is the might of the Dharma!

Developing Vajra-like rock-solid tough physiques,

Kindness makes others happy, compassion alleviates suffering.
普phổ 化hóa 群quần 生sanh 成thành 佛Phật 祖tổ
By teaching multitudes of beings, we can become Buddhas and Patriarchs.
羊dương 頭đầu 神thần 王vương 護hộ 行hành 人nhân
This sheep-headed spirit king protects those who practice,
虎hổ 狼lang 惡ác 獸thú 皆giai 無vô 阻trở
薩tát 婆bà 阿a 他tha 豆đậu 輸thâu 朋bằng

甘cam 露lộ 灌quán 頂đảnh 獲hoạch 清thanh 涼lương
The sweet dew anointing our crowns makes us feel cool and refreshed.
普phổ 救cứu 群quần 萌manh 得đắc 安an 康khang
Saving countless beings who attain health and safety.
六lục 道đạo 四tứ 生sanh 成thành 利lợi 樂lạc
Those born in four ways in the six paths attain benefits and bliss.
慈từ 悲bi 喜hỷ 捨xả 助trợ 法pháp 王vương
Kindness, compassion, joy, and giving aid the Dharma King.

This yaksha deva king is wrapped in a tiger hide.
賞thưởng 善thiện 罰phạt 惡ác 拯chửng 危nguy 急cấp
Rewards the good, punishes evil -- rescuing in the nick of time.
巡tuần 行hành 四tứ 方phương 記ký 功công 過quá
While patrolling in all four directions, he notes our merit and errors.
主chủ 持trì 公công 道đạo 平bình 等đẳng 齊tề
Maintaining justice, he makes sure that we each get treated equally.
The Proper Dharma abides due to vows that are vast and deep.
The golden wheel rolls over and destroys each and every demon.

出xuất 廣quảng 長trường 舌thiệt 遍biến 三tam 千thiên
A vast and long tongue fills the three thousand lands,
觀quán 音âm 示thị 現hiện 化hóa 男nam 女nữ
While Contemplating Sounds appears to teach women and men.
應ứng 供cúng 殺sát 賊tặc 阿a 羅la 漢hán
All Arhats are worthy of offerings and killers of thieves,
自tự 利lợi 利lợi 他tha 覺giác 行hạnh 圓viên
And by benefiting self and others, enlightenment and practice are perfected.
唵án! 阿a 婆bà 盧lô 醯hê

Ghosts and spirits respectfully listen to these pure sounds.
三tam 目mục 洞đỗng 悉tất 眾chúng 生sanh 心tâm
Three eyes can see right into beings' hearts.
一nhất 切thiết 求cầu 願nguyện 皆giai 成thành 就tựu
Our vows will be fulfilled and all we seek will surely be attained.
萬vạn 行hạnh 同đồng 入nhập 般bát 若nhã 門môn
The myriad practices all lead us to enter the doors to prajna.

The lord of the Brahama Heaven commands spirits troops.

Bodhisattva of the ten directions each display a body
度độ 脫thoát 眾chúng 生sanh 出xuất 苦khổ 海hải
To rescue and liberate beings so they leave the sea of suffering.
速tốc 登đăng 彼bỉ 岸ngạn 寂tịch 滅diệt 城thành
Swiftly ascending the other shore, we find the city of tranquility.

This black spirit ruler assumes an awesome air.

Shocking the deaf, arousing the blind, this compassionate Lord

Never rest day or night in his rescue of beings.

Massive spirit troops in the Thirty-three Heavens

Revere and obey the commands of these secret efficacious phrases.
賞thưởng 善thiện 罰phạt 惡ác 護hộ 正chánh 教giáo
Rewarding good and punishing evil, they protect the proper teaching.
世thế 界giới 咸hàm 安an 慶khánh 昇thăng 平bình
Throughout the world, peace and equanimity reign supreme.
摩ma 訶ha 菩bồ 提đề 薩tát 埵đỏa

With a firm, true mind we will gain a respond to our seeking.

No request, no matter how great, will go unanswered.

Kindness and compassion brought to paramita rescues creatures.

When demons are subdued the Proper Dharma flourishes unhindered.

Ghosts of blue, yellow, red, white, and black hue
服phục 勞lao 執chấp 役dịch 聽thính 教giáo 化hóa
Toil and slave, obeying the teaching and changing themselves.
感cảm 應ứng 道đạo 交giao 救cứu 群quần 生sanh
When responses mesh the Way, all kinds of beings are saved.

Amassing goodness through beneficial deeds, our merit is made full

With the wisdom sun shining on high we rejoice in peace.

Returning to the source involves curing our own faults.

The Mahayana is expressed in the flowing water and blowing wind.

Freeing his ear organ, he heard his own nature.

Those with and without affinities will all be taught and saved.
信tín 受thọ 奉phụng 行hành 即tức 聖thánh 賢hiền
Those who believe, accept, honor, and practice are saints and sages.
